Over the past 4+ years KFPI has been involved in the research, testing, and development of fire safety solutions regarding pyrophoric chemicals hazards. This included many projects regarding the fire detection and fire suppression/protection of energetic materials such as pyrophoric liquid metal organics like TMA (trimethyl aluminum).
What is the security of your semiconductor process worth to you? Will your fire safety system function properly, in the moment of truth, when you truly need it? Will it malfunction at the wrong time? An unchecked fire in semiconductor equipment can be devastating to a manufacturing operation.
Participation in SESHA region and chapter activities can assist you in staying up-to-date on new regulatory compliance issues, important accident/incident information, and can provide insight into possible solutions to many of the environmental, health and safety challenges present in the high technology industries. For more information on SESHA’s region / chapter program go to the SESHA Region / Chapter Toolbox. For more information on how you can get involved, please email the SESHA Headquarters, or contact KFPI. We are a proud member and supporter of SESHA.
SESHA has partnered with UL EHS Sustainability to develop courses specific to the semiconductor and high-tech industries, a collection of 18 modules designed by safety experts and adult learning specialists.
